This year, Fargo Public Schools saw its student lunch debt grow to over $26,000 – now, certain families could start hearing from debt collectors.
We are rallying to raise money that will help to pay off a significant school lunch debt before families with past-due accounts start hearing from debt collectors.
As food costs continue to increase, some families weren’t able to keep up with lunch account payments accrued during the 2018-19 school year. As a result, local public school districts are saddled with almost a $150,000 food tab that could be handed off to families, some who we know are just unable to pay.
With your donation, The Great North Pole will match you dollar for dollar up to $20,000. This generous donation will help area schools cover their school lunch deficits. Please help these kids and their families in our community.
